Ivyland, PA, January 2005- ACT/Technico,
a leading supplier of integrated real-time and embedded systems built with CompactPCI, VMEbus, and other open architecture platforms, has announced a new line of 10/100Tx Ethernet modules on the PMC form factor. The new Ethernet PMCs were designed to fill a void in the marketplace for PMC-based Ethernet boards and are ideal for a wide variety of real-time and embedded applications, including interfaces to broadband and wireless systems at the edge of the network, among others.
These new additions to the family of Ethernet PMCs augment the already extensive range of
networking products already offered by ACT/Technico. Several versions are available, including a 32-bit / 66 MHz, a 64-bit / 66 MHz, and a 64-bit / 133 MHz, PCI-X bridge. Each of these Ethernet PMCs offer up
to four ports, front or rear I/O, one or two link indicators per port and auto negotiation. A PMC Interface Module (PIM) is available for rear I/O options. The 66/133 version auto selects on both bit rate and
frequency, for backwards compatibility. Drivers are available for multiple operating systems, including VxWorks, Linux, and Windows.
